These Booking Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all bookings made with Hot Mess Media Pty Ltd (ABN 90 615 353 994) trading as Casa Sociale ("we," "us," "our") for hire of the Podcast Studio, Content Studio, and Event Space located at Warehouse 72 / 6 Bellambi Lane, Bellambi NSW 2518 (collectively, "the Studio"). 

By completing a booking, you ("the Client") you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to these Terms in full. 

1. Booking and Payment

All bookings are made through our online booking system at www.casasociale.com.au. Full payment is required at the time of booking and is processed securely via our booking platform.

By completing your booking, you authorise Casa Sociale to charge your payment method on file for any additional amounts that become payable following your session, including but not limited to cleaning fees, overtime charges, or costs arising from damage to the studio or its equipment. You will be notified of any charges prior to processing.

All prices are inclusive of GST.

Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been processed and you receive a confirmation email. By completing your booking, you are agreeing to these Terms and confirming you have had the opportunity to read them in full.

You must be 18 years of age or older to make a booking.

Please note cancellations and rescheduling are governed by our separate Cancellation Policy, available on our website which forms part of these Terms. By completing a booking, you confirm you have read and agree to that policy.

2. Minimum Booking Duration

The minimum booking duration for each space is as follows:

  • Content Studio: 2 hours minimum

  • Podcast Studio (all packages): 1 hour minimum

  • Event Space: [to be confirmed]

3. Podcast Studio Packages

The Podcast Studio is available under three hire packages:

  • Dry Hire: Access to the podcast space and setting only. No microphones, cameras, lighting, or equipment are included. Clients must supply their own equipment.

  • DIY: Full studio setup including microphones, cameras, and lighting. Clients operate the equipment themselves and are responsible for their own editing and post-production.

  • Full Service: Full studio setup with on-site assistance, plus professional editing and post-production. Available as a single session or as a 5-pack or 10-pack.

The Content Studio includes furniture, small props, a tripod, and a small ring light. Clients are responsible for their own content creation and editing unless a separate service agreement is in place.

All content recorded or created at Casa Sociale remains the intellectual property of the client. Casa Sociale makes no claim over any footage, audio, or materials produced during your content or podcast session.

For all booking types where recording takes place, Casa Sociale will retain raw files for a period of 30 days following delivery of your final edited content. After this period, raw files will be permanently deleted.

If you require raw files to be re-supplied within the 30 day period, a re-supply fee of $50+GST will apply. This fee covers the retrieval and transfer of files and will be charged to the payment method on file prior to delivery.

4. Intellectual Property

All content recorded or created at Casa Sociale, remains the intellectual property of the client. Casa Sociale makes no claim over any footage, audio, or materials produced during your session.

Where a client tags Casa Sociale, on social media, in content created at the studio, or collaborates with Casa Sociale in any capacity, the client grants Casa Sociale a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reuse and repurpose that content for social media and marketing purposes, including on our website, paid ads and promotional materials. We will always endeavour to credit you where possible.

Unless stipulated in writing and accepted by the Client; for podcast content specifically, all episode recordings, edits, and associated materials are owned entirely by the client. Casa Sociale retains no rights over the content of any podcast recorded at the studio.

5. Equipment and Studio Setup

For DIY Package and Full Service Package Podcast Studio bookings, the studio will be fully set up and tested by Casa Sociale prior to your session. Our equipment is set up and ready to use when you arrive.

To ensure the best recording quality and protect our equipment, we ask that clients do not adjust, move, or tamper with any microphones, mixer, cameras, lights, or other equipment beyond normal use. If something doesn't feel right or you need assistance during your session, let the available on site team member know.

If a client or their guests interfere with equipment after setup, Casa Sociale cannot guarantee recording or output quality, and no refund or credit will be issued in connection with this.

For Full Service bookings, a Casa Sociale team member will be present to manage all equipment throughout the session.

6. Use of Space

The Studio is to be used solely for the purpose outlined at the time of booking. Use of the space for any purpose not agreed to at the time of booking is not permitted without prior written consent from Casa Sociale.

Clients are responsible for the behaviour of all persons attending their session. Any violations of these Terms by attendees will be considered the Client's responsibility.

7. Prohibited Items and Activities

The following are strictly prohibited in all areas of the Studio:

  • Smoking or vaping (inside or within the immediate vicinity of the premises)

  • Open flames of any kind

  • Hazardous materials or substances

  • Banned or illegal items or substances

  • Body oils (any stains or damage caused by body oils will be charged)

  • Fake tan products (any stains or damage caused by fake tan will be charged a cleaning fee)

  • Adult or sexually explicit content of any kind

Food is not permitted inside the Podcast Studio. Drinks are permitted but must be kept away from all equipment at all times.

Food and drinks are permitted in the Content Studio and Event Space, provided the Client cleans up appropriately before leaving.

8. Service Disruptions and Remedies

Casa Sociale takes all reasonable steps to ensure the studio and its equipment are fully operational for your session. In the event of a service disruption beyond our control, including but not limited to power failure, internet outage, disruptions caused by third parties or equipment failure, we will do our best to resolve the issue promptly.

Where a disruption significantly impacts your session and cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe, the following remedies apply:

  • Partial disruption (disruption is resolved during your session but results in lost recording time): a partial session credit will be applied to your account.

  • Full disruption (the session cannot proceed or is rendered unusable): a full session credit will be applied to your account.

Credits are applied to your Casa Sociale account and may be used toward a future booking. Credits are not redeemable for cash. Casa Sociale reserves the right to assess disruptions on a case-by-case basis and determine the appropriate remedy at its discretion.

9. Damage to Property

Clients are responsible for any and all damage to the Studio, equipment, furniture, props, or any other property of Casa Sociale that occurs during their booking period.

Any damage must be reported to Casa Sociale immediately. The Client's payment method on file will be charged for the full cost of repair or replacement of any damaged items, as assessed by Casa Sociale.

Photo and/or video evidence and a detailed incident report will be provided to the Client prior to any charge being applied.

10. Cleanliness and Pack Down

Clients must leave the Studio in the condition it was found. This includes:

  • Removing all rubbish and personal items

  • Cleaning any spills of food, drink, makeup, glitter, or other substances

  • Returning all furniture, props, and equipment to their original positions

Failure to leave the space in the condition it was found will result in a cleaning fee of $150+GST, charged to the payment method on file. If the extent of cleaning required exceeds this amount and a third party is engaged, you will be responsible for the full cost. You will be notified of any amount exceeding $150+GST prior to processing.

If our team is required to return furniture or props to their original positions, an additional fee of $50+GST will apply.

11. Overtime

Your booking begins and ends at the times confirmed in your booking. Set-up and pack-down time must be included within your booked period — no additional grace period is provided.

If your session runs overtime, a fee of $5 per minute will be charged for every additional minute beyond your original booking end time. This fee is not an extension of your booking — the Studio reserves the right to end access at its discretion to accommodate the next booking.

12. Surveillance

The entirety of the Studio premises, including the Podcast Studio and Content Studio, is monitored by CCTV cameras 24/7 as a security measure. Footage may be used to confirm damages, theft, late departures, or any breach of these Terms.

Surveillance is not in operation in the bathroom.

13. Children

You must be 18 or older in order to make a booking.

All bookings require at least one person over the age of 18 to be present at all times. Any children attending an event or booking must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. The Studio is not a playground and children must be kept safe and under supervision throughout the booking.

14. Parking

Two allocated parking spaces are available directly outside the Studio. A small number of visitor spots are also available on site. Street parking is available nearby if on-site parking is full. Parking is at the Client's own risk and Casa Sociale accepts no liability for any damage to or theft from vehicles.

15. Social Media and Photography

Unless otherwise advised, Casa Sociale may capture use of you, your guests and the space for marketing, website, and social media purposes. If you do not wish to be filmed or photographed, or wish for your identity or content to remain private, please inform us in writing at the time of booking.

16. Liability Waiver

Use of the Casa Sociale premises and equipment is entirely at the Client's risk. 

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy conferred on the Client by Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be lawfully excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Casa Sociale and Hot Mess Media Pty Ltd will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damage, injury, or loss to the Client, their guests, or their property while on the premises.

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Casa Sociale, Hot Mess Media Pty Ltd, and their owners, officers, employees, and representatives against any claim, loss, accident, judgment, fine, injury, or damages (including legal fees) arising during or after the term of the studio hire.

For events held at Casa Sociale where the Client is conducting commercial activity, including but not limited to ticketed events, workshops, or any event from which the Client derives income, the Client is required to hold their own public liability insurance for the duration of the event. Proof of coverage may be requested prior to your event date. Casa Sociale accepts no liability for any claims arising from commercially operated events held on the premises.

17. Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures

Upon arrival, please familiarise yourself with all fire escape routes, emergency exits, and the location of fire extinguishers on the premises.

In the event of a fire or emergency, evacuate the premises immediately using the nearest exit and call emergency services (000). Do not obstruct or block any fire exit at any time.

Fire extinguishers are located throughout the Studio. Only use them if it is safe to do so and you are trained in their use.

Report any safety hazards or concerns to Casa Sociale immediately. No unsafe situation will be tolerated.

18. Compliance with Laws

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Clients agree to comply with all applicable Australian laws and regulations during their use of the Studio, including but not limited to work health and safety obligations, noise regulations, and any licensing requirements relevant to their activities.

19. Right to Refuse or Terminate

Casa Sociale reserves the right to refuse access to cancel or terminate any booking where a Client or their guests are found to be in breach of these Terms, behaving in a manner that is disrespectful, unsafe, or damaging to the premises. 

No refund will be issued in the case of a termination due to a breach of these Terms.

20. Changes to Terms

The Terms in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking; updated Terms will apply to subsequent bookings.

Casa Sociale may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be published on our website. Your continued use of the Studio constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
